sE Electronics introduces the X1-S, a large-diaphragm condenser microphone that sets a new standard for affordability. Launched in 2011, the original X1 changed the game for microphones in its price range, competing with more expensive options. Now, sE has released the X1S, which is cheaper than the original and comes with even more features.

The X1S includes a handmade condenser capsule, advanced electronics, a tough metal body, attenuators, and low-cut filters. It delivers the quality and features you expect from high-end studio microphones, but at a much lower price.

sE Electronics is proud to introduce the X1-S, setting a new benchmark for affordable large-diaphragm condenser microphones. Following the success of the original X1, the X1S offers enhanced features at an even more accessible price.

Featuring a handmade condenser capsule fine-tuned by sE’s engineers, advanced electronics, and a durable metal enclosure, the X1S combines premium sound quality with affordability. The redesigned electronics provide superior performance, achieving the highest dynamic range in its class, improved sensitivity, sound pressure level (SPL) handling of up to 160dB, and reduced self-noise.

With built-in attenuators (-10dB and -20dB) and low-cut filters (80 Hz and 160 Hz), the X1S enhances recording versatility, allowing for close-range capture of loud instruments while filtering low-frequency noise.

The microphone includes a clip compatible with standard microphone stands and is also available in a package with additional equipment.
